Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is undoubtedly the most complete and extensive game of the worldwide popular anime hit to date. Although there are no major innovations, fans and, of course, all those who want to become fans can pick it up without hesitation thanks to the large roster, two story campaigns and beginner-friendly action gameplay.
It is clear that this is a delivery dedicated one hundred percent to the fans, who already know these stories perfectly, so I do not recommend the game to those who are just joining the saga. Of course, those who do not miss the news about the blonde ninja will obviously buy it without even thinking twice.
While Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections introduces some new elements compared to Storm 4, the game leaves the impression that it could be a DLC for its predecessor. The noteworthy aspects of the package include a substantial roster of playable characters, a variety of customization items, and the engaging "Special Story" mode.
As far as celebratory packages go, Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections gets the job done, but not much more than that. The story implementation is lacking, with awful recapping of the original content, while the rest of the game is simply more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. If you’re a diehard fan of Naruto and the Ultimate Ninja Storm games, then what’s here will likely engage you, but there’s little reason to return to these if you’ve played through them before.
The summarized story of previous titles, an optional, easier control scheme and lots of stuff to collect make Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections a solid entry point for beginners. Everyone else is better off waiting for Ninja Storm 5, watching the anime or reading the manga again.
A facile re-release of an older game in a new look with some new characters. The performance is also pleasant, but the rest is all mediocre. The new story mode is boring, the online functionality sucks and the English dubbing is a drama. The game also lacks any real noteworthy additions. A disappointment.
The game is like a concise port of the previous ninja storm series. While the content of this title is less than the total amount of the original ones. There’s no adventure mode or levels where you can move freely to explore the world of Naruto. The two main stoty modes are just one battle after another, with some narrative scenes showing the plot between the battles. The battle system is mature and satisfying, and it has the most playable characters in the series history.
I have seen a lot of reviews saying it's basically just a copy and paste of the older games. I'm not necessarily going to disagree with them, but what did you expect? Mortal Kombat is a copy and paste. All of duty is a copy and paste. Final fantasy is a copy and paste. Basically every game series adds like to me features with each new game.
A lot of these reviews also complain about. I don't know really just the boss fight switch. To be honest, I've played every one of the ninja storms. I played all the budokai's I've played just about every anime game there is. Boss fights never really feel like boss fights. It's just you fighting another character from the serious. Not updating the older characters moves is a little ridiculous. I'll give you that. But other than that like why are you even worried about the story? It's just anime and the manga that you've seen in read, you already know the story, just enjoy the fighting. If you haven't seen the buruto series then I guess You're kind of missing out on the story with this game, but other than that same story, it's just fun to play the characters and hitting somebody with a chidori or resengan.
To be completely honest the special story was actually amazing. Not all of it but the plot at the end is really engaging! Especially with all of those beautifully animated cutscenes! But even the Boruto story seems to be stretched out a lot! I can't believe they want me to play entirety of naruto story TWICE! (once in story mode and second time in Boruto story) There isn't much cutscenes but the existing ones are great. In this form THIS WHOLE GAME SHOULD BE A DLC for a 4th storm. Gameplay changes are broken! The combo rush is unbalanced and this game is really broken I terms of balance overall. I loved new characters nanashi and merz and it is sad that this story is just a filler... Such beautiful story! But is this game worth a full price? No! They had so much time to invent something new! Why not try to make an on open world konoha with side content for fans in boruto story? The development in this game is unbelievably lazy! And I really wish that ubisoft could finally show Cyberconnect ONCE AGAIN how to make an masterpiece Naruto game such as rise of the ninja and broken bond.
it's a 20 dollar DLC with downgraded gameplay / voice acting put as a full priced game.
I'm a massive naruto fanboy and this is a slap in our face.
only thing that felt note worthy is the new story mode but had no quick time events, too easy fights, and very short 3-4 hours.
Summary The next exciting entry in the STORM series celebrates the 20th anniversary of Naruto's anime debut. Connections features the largest roster out of all Naruto Ultimate Ninja STORM series!
