I’m adoring it, just as I did the first game a few years ago. It’s so
zippy, bonkers, rapidly advancing, funny, colourful and challenging.
The combat is far rarer and less of a faff this time too, and
sometimes delivered as another puzzle rather than an obstacle.
While it's very similar to the original game, the level of quality and enjoyment offered here is undeniable, making this another worthy entry in the series filled with laughs, great puzzles, and excellent world design.
Six Inches Under is the follow up to the indy hit Supraland, combining first person platforming, puzzles, exploration, collecting and a bit of interesting combat also set in a vibrant environment with plenty of comedy.
It's an impressive sequel with a great mix of new and old mechanics and puzzle elements with a completely new story and environment.
The game took me about over 10 hours to finish the story and another 10 or more to finish 100% of the puzzles and hidden areas and loved every minute.
Compared the other recent 3D puzzle games there's an enormous amount of variety, not just one mechanic getting harder and harder.
If you like puzzles, platformers and combat-lite metroidvanias you should try this game.
Disclaimer: Received this game for free: I helped the dev team with beta testing and apparently it is remaining in my library! I want to support the devs though, so I bought a 2nd copy for another account I have!
This 3rd game is great, buy it now while it's still on the 'new product' sale, but before playing this one, you should check out Supraland 1 and Supraland Crash (which is really a separate game, but it's sold as DLC for SL1)
This one somehow still manages to be original, novel, and have all new puzzles and techniques, and is also more of the same top-tier game that made the original great. You will see some of the same equipment returning, and a whole lot of 'new'. Very impressed with this team's work consistently.
Some of the puzzles are tough! But if you get stuck, there's an active discord server ( ****/PxnZCsJKXD ).
Combat has always been a relatively minor part of this series, but for this game it has been made smoother and more interesting with puzzle elements! Very cool.
As with the other 2 games, I love the visuals. In the moments where you're flying far above the world and can see everything, it's SO cool. I have beat the story, but there is PLENTY of post-storyline gameplay and I'm working to 100% it like I did the previous games!
The only reason I didn't rate it 10 is because it's a bit buggy, but these will get patched out over time.
Six Inches Under is just as good as the original Supraland, even though it's a little smaller in scope and there are only a few new mechanics. Combat is toned down significantly this time, which leaves even more room for fun exploration and cleverly designed puzzles that will keep you hooked for up to 20 hours.
the game is creative in design of gameplay, the puzzles are fun and interesting but not the best optimalisation for pc (as of now).
for its price point it is good.
SummarySupraland Six Inches Under is a First-Person-Metroidvania. That means, you're in a gated world and the more abilities you gather, the more parts of the world you can access.
The gameplay consists of roughly 55% exploration, 40% solving puzzles and 5% combat.
It was supposed to be a little DLC for Supraland , but it got a bit out of han...
