Super Lucky's Tale on Xbox One doesn't do anything new, but what it puts on the table, it does well. It is attractive for the little ones in the house, but also for adults who want to remember the good times of the 3D platforms.
3D platformers don't get much more generic than Super Lucky's Tale. That being said, if you're looking to go on a relaxing adventure in an adorable world then you'll find a solid and ultimately enjoyable platformer here.
You can't help but smile as you play. Its adorable nature, strange characters, and quirky dialogues make you fall in love with the game even though the camera controls are a bit off. If you're looking for a title which is guaranteed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, then be sure to give this one a go.
Super Lucky’s Tale is by no means bad — it’s simply good; fun, but easily forgettable. If it was released at a different time than Odyssey, it may have made more of an impression, but alas, here we are.
Super Lucky's Tale is a VRless version of Lucky's Tale released last year on Onculus Rift. With 4K display on Xbox One X, the game doesn't manage to do much, especially because of an awful camera which makes Lucky's handling very hazardous.
This isn't a bad game, but it brings nothing new. The lack of challenge may make it more suitable for younger players but it isn't worth it if you are looking to test your platforming skills.
Bland, boring, and badly made – returning to the bad old days of low rent mascot platformers is not a good way to demonstrate the power of the Xbox One X.
Fantastic, cute and funny game. :) I am enjoying it so much. Characters are cool. All is well thinked and created. :) Very good game for kids especially. :) Have fun!
While the game manages to entertain and be fun most of the time, Super Lucky’s Tale is seen affected by some technical and design decisions that are hard to enjoy. The fixed camera angles are never helpful in making the jumping and movement feel precise. It became a common thing for me to die throughout the game, purely because its camera angle made me think I was going to land somewhere else to where I ended up falling.
The game can be easy for genre experts, though it will be challenging for both children and players who have rarely played a platformer game. The levels are varied, with both 2D and 3D perspective levels. As the 2D levels are not affected by the game's awful fixed camera view of its 3D counterparts, they are far more enjoyable. Each world has a set of puzzle mini games, all of which are very fun to play.
Super Lucky’s Tale is not a revolutionary platformer game or anything like that, but I recommend it to those who want to have a good time, as its colorful and optimistic world will surely provide happiness to the player's heart for around 8 hours.
This game must be in PS4 to fix the problems, but wow, the graphics are AWESOME.
But yes, I like this game more than any boring shooter like Halo or Gears of War. I hope Xbox can finally get rid of these 2 sagas and get focused in creating quality games.
I got stuck first level after 2 min of gameplay, unable to proceed. This game looks like candy but plays like crap. No free camera makes you struggle with weird angles devs decided you HAVE to use for game control.
I don't feel robbed only because I got this game free as part of Xbox subscription.
