Story, voice work, and animations are all still goofy, but throw in co-op multiplayer, better endgame content, and more reasons to replay it, and State of Decay 2 is the type of game with which certain players will fall in love. There's always something to do and in a classically sim style, it's hard to know when to stop. It's the most realistic zombie apocalypse simulation in the world and that's a beautiful thing.
While it doesn’t have the irreverent humor of Dead Rising or the swiftness in movement like Dying Light, what State of Decay 2 offers is the pull that will have you saying, “Oooh, what’s in there?” every time you walk down a neighborhood cluttered with burnt-out cars and piles of dead bodies.
Mas de 500 horas jugadas, muy adictivo y gran gameplay, las actualizaciones que han ido metiendo le dan cada vez mas vida al juego. Esperando con ansias el 3ro!
Deeper than the first installment, State of Decay 2 improves several features and adds a deeper management system with an enormous map to explore and an interesting cooperative online system, though it still has several technical issues.
State of Decay 2 is a nice game and it looks good, but it has a considerable amount of errors that take away much of its brightness. It is nice that the events that happen within your game are a consequence of the actions of each player, given that feeling that each of their actions is unrepeatable. Spending most of the game looking for resources in coolers, kitchens, farms and other places, is annoying and saps much of the fun that can be as the game becomes a slow and repetitive activity.
State of Decay 2 isn't a failure, it’s a disappointment. Despite some good ideas, the game kind of looks like a copy/paste of the previous game on many points, loaded with glitches and poorly tuned mechanics.
Fun zombie game with a mediocre story and main objective. The best part about this game was looting the various buildings and finding really cools items such as random guns. Finding other characters to recruit or help was also quite fun. The zombies were threatening but there aren't too many types so it can make it a bit repetitive. I did not like the fact that you had to start over after beating the game. Trying to resupply your base with food got very tedious as you have to walk all the way in your base. It would have been better if other characters you recruited did it for you automatically but had a chance of dying. Overall fun zombie game and some of the best moments were looting places at night.
There is a brief moment while learning the game that it fun. But it quickly becomes a chore, where you want to do one thing but are being **** to do 5 other thing on top of deal with a feral and **** game has a somewhat fun game play loop ,just like the first game. Only problem is they failed at everything else, just like the first game, even a few more things.
Graphics are not his gen at all, the world is empty and dull and visuals are just not impressive for this gen, if it looked last gen but ran at 60FPS it would be fine, but nope its a 30fps game. The games has less bugs than the first, less, the first game was literally unplayable with bugs, so yeah there is less.
One of the most annoying thing is the characters. SOD1 had actually interesting characters, there was some attractive girls as you would want in your end on the world zombie fantasy and many side stories and charters you ended up interested even caring about.
The Character in SOD2 are just crazy bland, there stories are the most uninteresting bunk you could imagine, find tools and record players, crap like that. And most imitating more offensively is they have clearly gone with "Averting of the Male Gaze" thing woke developers love these days. Making every female character just plain ugly and completely unappealing, so as not to appeal MEN!! MEN the main supporters and consumers of their product, they set out to not appeal to them!!!! Many men in the game are very attractive, so they know how to model and make faces, just decided their male fan should only get uggos in their survivor fantasy.
Overall the game is a hard pass, there a few interesting hours at the start as you learn the game, but then quickly become a chore as the whiney ugly woman contact every 30 secs to demand something.
The game never becomes fun. it's always more of a boring task with the promise of fun , but the fun is never delivered , the missions just become more tedious and boring . the cars use gas too quickly , the whole finding plague hearts to cure infections is tedious and boring , it should have been find some plague hearts create the cure and done. having to constantly collect more gets boring as does always gassing up a car to go five blocks down the road and run again , the whole base management is overly complicated ,
I liked the first game was hoping they would improve on it and add online gameplay , well they added on-line gameplay but made it some kind of boredom endurance simulation . I'm very disappointed in the game I was really looking forward to it and it just doesn't deliver any entertainment value at all
