Respawn has shown us, and EA, that single player games are well enough alive and kicking and has set a bright future for the Star Wars franchise of videogames if they keep this up.
This game is definitely a dream come true for Star Wars fans. Even if you are not one of them, do not miss out on this mix of thrilling battles and engaging exploration produced to a level which definitely proved that Respawn are one of the best developers in our current time.
I'm not familiar with the Star Wars universe at all, the plot seemed very interesting to me, I haven't seen this before. The concept of the game made it possible to feel like a cool warrior, it turned out to play and there were no special problems. 1-on-1 lightsaber battles are the best there can be. The characters are well spelled out, I liked Griss the most, at first I thought that this was the very master yoda about whom I had heard a lot. In the finale, when Darth Vader appeared, I realized that I was very weak in this universe. I really like such games, with a simple but necessary meaning of "Never give up", etc. where you try to save the universe and together with the main character you experience all his changes. Does it make sense to study the map? Only if you really want to upgrade the skill branch. Although I didn't need this on average difficulty, otherwise you will find character customization, etc. Although I didn't do it particularly trying to stick to the standard type of game

Despite minor technical issues and sometimes underwhelming graphics, I had lots of fun. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a trip down the memory lane; to the times when I played the best Star Wars games for the very first time. Respawn Entertainment can easily put their game on the same shelf as Jedi Outcast. The Force is strong with this one.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has a string of wisely chosen influences, and it delivers on the long-overdue promise of a fun Jedi action-adventure. Bugs and design wrinkles irritate.
Technical, joyful and superb, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order takes a lot from Uncharted, God of War, and Tomb Raider, while bringing a solid Star Wars experience, balanced between action, puzzles, and platforming.
As the first single-player Star Wars action game to be released in a number of years, Jedi: Fallen Order provides a novel opportunity to visit a variety of planets and explore them in depth. However, it fails to build upon innovations from earlier Star Wars action games such as implementation of Force abilities and ease of navigation, with the result that part of its design feels stuck in a previous era.
I’m a big fan of all things Star Ward so this review is probably a bit biased but I absolutely loved the game! I’ve been watching through the films and TV series in in-universe chronological order and after finishing the Bad Batch this game was next. I like how it explores the time period during The Dark Times when The Empire was well established but still fairly new, introducing many new characters and a few we know from the Clone Wars and Original Trilogy eras. I thought the story was great and liked the new characters and locations, also allowing us to explore famous planets like Kashyyk and Ilum that haven’t been represented much so far.
As for the gameplay it was somewhere between God of War and Dark Souls and while no where near as challenging as a Souls game it was very difficult at first but as you got more abilities the game really makes you feel like you are becoming a Jedi Knight from your beginnings as a Padawan. Some of the set pieces like driving the AT-AT and the major duels (especially one particular encounter) were just incredible. Very much recommend if you are into Star Wars.
I didn't like this game. It is like a bad mix of different RPGs + Star Wars settings. The twist in the end was ridiculous for me. No sense of map exploring because mostly you just get an additional poncho or a color for a robot. They introduce "bonfires" but don't give you teleport so you can just get lost on the planet. If you forgot something - be ready to go on foot half a planet to that place. Nah
