Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville takes the foundation of the Garden Warfare series and expands upon it. No longer is the game just about competitive multiplayer, there’s now a wide variety of co-op activities for friends to play through. Whether you’re a fan of Garden Warfare, or new to the Plants vs Zombies series, there’s something for everyone in Battle for Neighborville.
With the many unique classes, the art style, humor and polish put forth by PopCap, Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville all culminates into a great time. You’ll lose hours blasting pesky plants or ridiculous zombies as your favorite characters. While it’s the third entry in the series, it still manages to stay fresh enough to welcome returning veterans and new players alike. If you’re into quirky shooters with a sense of humor, this is the best time to jump in and see what Crazy Dave is all about.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville embraces all of the charm and fun of its predecessors, but manages to up the ante with a lot of new and updated features.
Plants vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville is a beautiful title. We have fun online with different modes of play. Teamplay is important but playing alone s not be the key to success. A time of adaptation is required to master the game and its gameplay. There are a lot of things to do in the game and the title takes on a more significant scale when played with friends. A good surprise in short.
Its PvE campaign may be a bit of a wash despite the Looney tunes approach, but if you’re looking for some addictive multiplayer action that hasn’t changed too much between instalments, Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is still a chaotic start to the day that is packed full of vitamin C for crazy.
Online shooters don't get much more charming than Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. So, if you want a simple game to wind down with for a few hours then you won't regret giving it a try but just keep its downsides in mind before taking the plunge.
While the art, gameplay and music are fine, it feels like EA made a game so exclusively for children that their parents won't want to play it with them, leaving them to be influenced alone. Even if you can tolerate the tone and have the wherewithal to not spend too much money on DLC, Neighborville is fine. It just won't be your best purchase EVAR.
I'd honestly give the game a real 20. This series, as a whole, is one of the best of all time. Neighborville is no exception. I've played so many shooters, from the earliest CODs and Battlefields through Fortnite, Splatoon, Overwatch... This, and Garden Warfare 2 are 2 of the best shooters of all time. The only problem is that there aren't enough maps. Incredible team play, character classes, Disney level modelling. Just great. So much fun.
As a fan of pvz ever since launch i have to say this game is nowhere near as good as gw2 or even gw1(in some aspects) . With all this said i'm still having a lot of fun playing this game and really like it. But it surely could have been better.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
Showing some promise
Battle for neighborville isnot what I expected it to be at all.. both in good ways andbad woods.. the good.. theres a whole campaign here that I wasn’t expecting, you can play through as any of the plants or zombies youd like.. each side having 2 mini open worlds to complete tasks in, it starts out so charming, cute, and fun.. I loved being a lttle pod shooter, hunting down a yeti, fighting a vampire… I loved this campaign.. untili didn’t anymore.. the campaign here feels more like a demo of what could be rather than a full fledged single player campaign, I mean each of the 4 sections main missions can be completed in an hr each.. its really a joke, as after you complete the 5 main quests its really just map cleaning and in game trophy list clearing… but I loved what could be and what should be done in the future.. theres potential with an actual open world dead island rpg like quest system with a dash of some Mario.. there is a great vaiety of character and polish here. So I would love to see the team go all in on something like this, it could be really special… but for what it is now, its repetive boring tower defense stuff once the game exhausts its charm… and then its onto online, capture the flag, team tower defense, hoard mode, and the family friendly version of a call of duty team death match..andfor me personally, the death match is where all of the fun is outside of the first hour of this games campaign,
youre on team plants or zombies, each chratcer has unique abilities and trates to make no 2 matches the same if you don’t want them to be… and you have even gain experience and level these characters up… but again the charm just evaporates… theres so much character depth here in battle for neighborville, theres so much potential.. theres just no great game to go with the grear mechanics and variety… I say scrap this cod wanna be and become a Mario wanna be.. this 3d world of plants vs zombies has so much potential, and right now its being wasted in the bargain bin… battle for neighborville offers about 4 hours of fun, it has everything in it to be amazing.. but its potential just isn’t fully realized and that breaks my heart.
I give Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville
a 7/10
SummaryWelcome to Neighborville, where all is well. Except that a crazy new coniferous conflict between brain-less and botanicals is brewing! What are you gonna do – call the crops? Soil your plants? It’s time to kick some grass in the wackiest shooter experience between plants and zombies yet: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville™.
