Persona 4 Golden is so much more than just a mere game, it’s a wonderful experience that grabs you by the beard hairs and drags you in, dominating your spare time and idle thoughts until you have reached that ending.
So if you've had the pleasure of playing the game previously, rest assured you'll have an equally hard time putting it down on the Vita, much like the original on PS2. And for new players, I envy the ability to go into this game fresh again, because it's really one of the best RPG experiences of the past two console generations. For either or, previous Persona 4 players or newcomers, this is one Vita game that can't be missed.

Finally beat the game. Its really fun, but also really long. Good thing you can boost Izanagi to be your best Persona and tweak the difficulty. Grinding was enjoyable as i could do other stuff doing it. Ended up with Chie and in Good Ending.

With a well written story, relatable characters and a mystery that draws you in, Personal 4 Golden is definitely the game the PS Vita needed!
Golden is technically the fifth iteration of a formula established with Persona 3 but it feels just as appealing and engaging now as it did four years ago. No one else (literally) is making games like this and if you've somehow avoided a modern day Persona title you owe it to yourself to give Golden a shot. It's sweet icing on a delicious cake.
One of the last years best RPG just got even better. This is the one game for the format that you really can't afford to miss.
It never ceases to amaze how Atlus manages to make Japanese games that lose none of their appeal in their translation to the West. Even though this is totally banking on it's Nippon slice of life approach, its no less compatible with western audiences than any other RPG. This is an approachable and sympathetic cast of characters going through relatable hardships – you don't need to be an anime fan to get that. In light of the Vita's situation you might not want a reason to get one of Sony's struggling portables. Now you have one nevertheless.
As much as I found myself groaning through the parts I knew I would dislike-namely, the grinding and overwhelming sense of repetition that emanates from combat and time management-I grew to respect Persona 4: Golden. I can't say I completely enjoyed my time with the game, but I'm not the kind of person who would be interested in buying it. Those who are will find an admirably polished JRPG and a welcome addition to their burgeoning Vita library.

Persona 4 get great scores but i dont understand. The game is ok but dont deserve a 9 or 10 like some give. It is fun but not perfect or near it. Graphics are very average. Gameplay is fun for some parts but alot of talking too. Too much talking for me. I prefer action games and this one need alot reading and searching. I would still recommend but this is not an awesome game. Its a good game but not more.

This one is a good game to test the waters to see if you’ll like persona or SMT gameplay, but it isn’t for everyone.
The graphics were honestly outdated even when the game was new, with square, clunky models that most games haven’t used since the 90’s. The soundtrack however is excellent and most people will probably feel at least one song they would put on an MP3 player to listen to outside of gaming.
The battle system isn’t super complex and pretty clean, if you are familiar with Pokémon or other turn based battle you will pick it up very fast. The story is good, but has some fatal problems. The game is one of the most tone deaf persona games being a blissfully happy game where friend play while people are dying in the background. The game also has an obnoxiously long tutorial that may cause players to drop the game before they even really start it. And the characters are very hit-or-miss, you’ll either relate to them or find them boring as they are some of the least flashy but most grounded characters in the franchise.
Buy, rent, watch an LP, or skip? Buy it, maybe rent it. LP’s are pointless as there is an anime of this game if you aren’t a fan of the gameplay.

I like JRPGs but this just wasn't my cup of tea. The game is beautiful and the sound is awesome. But progressing Personas through the social link system made me cringe. The 4 hour tutorial was a little much even though it eased me into the game. But if you like building relationships with people in general you'll have a blast.
