Just in case I haven't been absolutely clear about this, you need to get Gears of War 2. Now.
All of the multiplayer, both co-op and competitive, completely makes up for any that was lacking in the first game. For those that thought that Gears just wasn’t suited to multiplayer gameplay, that it was too tactical and slow and was better suited to a single player experience, prepare to eat your words. It’s fantastic, and rounds out the complete package that is Gears of War 2...Gears of War 2 is about as close as you can get to the perfect gaming package.

El mejor Gears sin duda. Un auténtico juegazo el gears of war 2, lo volví a jugar hace poco en una Xbox ss y la experiencia fue muy buena, gráficamente se sigue defendiendo de una manera muy buena, a nivel de rendimiento fue todo perfecto y yendo muy muy fluido. Un juego extremadamente divertido con ese sistema de coberturas que es maravilloso y lo bien que se siente disparar (especialmente la lancer y el rifle de francotirador). Por no hablar de la historia que es muy interesante ver como nos adentramos a la hondonada y vemos como viven los locust y como van capturando a los humanos (el trágico momento de tai…) con unos personajes muy carismáticos formando el maravilloso escuadrón delta donde cada personaje aporta su grano de arena para hacerlo memorable y culminando con el gran protagonista Marcus Fénix, Marcus es un personaje que dentro de su aspecto serio tiene muchísimo carisma y en este juego vemos su parte más humana muchas veces. Aparte la historia te lleva a situaciones muy diversas (que decir del momento del gusano gigante) pero también nos montamos y pilotamos un reaver, una especie de tanque por encima de lagos helados, un brumak en la parte final del juego. Simplemente un juegazo de culto de la era de Xbox 360 que coge lo que hacía gears of war 1 y lo mejora x10. Si hay alguien que aún no lo ha jugado que no espere más tiempo y se lance a él porque es una maravilla.

Gears of War 2 isn't quite the landmark title that first game was, but it's still one of the best third-person shooters ever made.
The best single-player shooter in the history of Epic Games. If it is going to become a Hollywood movie, it should be directed by no other than Michael Bay.
While Gears of War 2 might not include the epic changes we were all waiting for, like 4 player co-op and a larger storyline, it certainly provides us with a fun and enjoyable experience that we will all remember. Wasting hours on Horde is amazing and with the new additions to the game, new and old fans will be chuffed.
If we were to summarize Gears of War 2 in one sentence it would be "intense and impressive action, preferably experienced together with a friend". There are some flaws here, such as a somewhat uninteresting storyline and some uneven levels, but when the overall experience is nothing short of outstanding we're ready to ignore these minor annoyances. Everything in Gears of War 2 is bigger, better and more bad ass and with an improved online mode this is the game to buy for all action buffs.
The game delivers the same grizzled, gore-laden action we've come to expect, and it does it extremely well -- but it's as if the original Gears has gotten a face-lift, and been expanded upon, without much real change.
My favourite instalment in the series and one of my favourite games of all time, it’s definitely the best couch Co-Op of all time, loved playing this with my brother on the 360 and again on the Xbox One.

By the second game, the story was starting to come together, and finally, the scenery changed. Gameplay would've been better if there wasn't any input lag; funny how Xbox claims FPS boot is enabled for the game, but there is input lag. For some of the missions, the mechanics were interesting, especially during one where there is a hail storm, and the player has to maneuver around it. The submarine mission was great too.

They took everything I liked from the first Gears of War and butchered it. Movement is clingy, matchmaking online is awful, and the shotguns have been dumbed down to an embarassing level. This only gets points for the Horde mode, which is fun with friends, and for a pretty enjoyable single player campaign (although it's very short at approx. 6 hours). But multiplayer is where this series lives, and I can't bring myself to play it online again.

I don't think I've been so let down by a game before, all of my friends kept telling me how great this game was and that I would absolutely love it and HAD to pick it up... so I did, and it just didn't do it for me... the graphics are really nice, but I've always enjoyed gameplay over graphics and I think too many first/third person shooters rely on graphics rather than quality gameplay and this was just another of the many for me. I found the movement too slow and firing the weapons is just not that satisfying, they feel really underpowered even when you're blowing something's head off from point blank. Even playing with friend's on horde mode was just meh... it's just an average take on cod's infinitely better zombie mode. Maybe I was just expecting too much, but sadly a big let down for me.
