Persona 5 Tactica is an excellent addition to the overall Persona 5 property. What at first looks like a cheerfully whimsical bonus spinoff ends up being something that adds to the core themes of the base game, and is impressive in the way it does that. It also backs up with some of the sharpest “fast tactics” play we’ve seen in the genre. I just wish the concept and theme were written better, and I honestly never thought I would say that of a Persona title.
This is a fun RGP that can feel a bit underwhelming during its first few hours, since it tries to welcome inexperienced players, but it manages to shine more and more as we progress.
Persona 5 Tactica brings the Phantom Thieves back together for fans to enjoy in a strategy and role-playing game full of possibilities. A new opportunity to live adventures with Joker and his friends, this time leading a new revolution. On a negative note, it may fall short for those with a lot of experience in this type of games.
Persona 5 Tactica is a confident entry into Atlus’ growing catalogue of Persona 5 spin-offs, offering fans more time with the original game’s cast of lovable misfits. The turn-based tactical twist serves as a great vehicle to blend intelligent combat with a delicate story that often leaves you theorising what could come next, both in the narrative and Tactica’s enjoyable arenas. Even without the bustling streets of Tokyo to explore, Tactica summons the same emotional depth you’d expect from the series, with plenty of endearing comical moments, vibrant visual design and sparkling music accompaniment.
Persona 5 Tactica excels in terms of level design and fun quests, as well as solid gameplay. With that, it's a no brainer for fans of the series to purchase the game. We should note, however, that the story lacks depth and the social aspect. The game is also a lot more compact than other parts in the series, and while that is not necessarily a bad thing, it does feel a bit less complete than we are used to.
The game's lacking the heart and soul of the other titles set in the universe of Persona 5. Fans of the series can still enjoy it because of the beloved characters and the entertaining combat system.
Indeed, Tactica is very much a Persona 5 game, with all that entails: conceptually sound, visually stylish, lovingly assembled - and needlessly drawn out. [Issue#392, p.116]
The Erina character is one of the best characters in all Persona history, and you get impregnated with the history. Is the perfect warm-up for a Persona fan waiting the Persona 3 release date.
I'd say this is a smart movement of ALTUS to pull something similiar to Mario+Rabbid which exclusively on Switch. However, while I quite vibing with this game. I found out that this game suffer the difficulty issue same as P5R. This game is way too easy with a lot of amenities and flashy skills, plus, this game remove of a lot unpredictability in the game, such as no breakable cover, 100% accuracy. This game is more like a puzzle RPG game than tactical RPG game if you ask me. The content here is also bit short compared to Mario+Rabbid since they are mostly battle with some dialogue and straightforward story. It's make me feel like a mile away from Mario+Rabbid in terms of gameplay and passionate. However, I think they are quite smart in terms of marketing. You can play it with various platforms and XBOX PASS. So if you are Persona 5 fans who want more additional official story with nice additional rosters, then why not just try it on PASS? However, if you need a challenge in this game, barely to none. I give this game between 6-7. Sort of passable for causal game, but fell short for a tactical RPG game. I rather recommend Mario+Rabbid over this one.
Great story and Likeable characters but oh my god the combat is horrible. completely unfair at times and impossible at times.high suggest watching the cut scenes on YouTube.
I love tactic games so I was excited for P5T... unfortunately though it's just lacking.
Combat feels just like Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope only simplified with generic characters. Every Character in P5T has the same skills, only with a slightly different flavor. Theirs nothing that make them feel truly unique.
Combine that with an overly cartoonish way the game is designed, from the way characters act to the overall look and feel. The game feels like a Saturday morning cartoon trying to be Persona 5. It's too offbrand for me, yes Persona is anime but it's also grounded in a certain level of realism.

Surrounded by a military group named Legionnaires, they find themselves in grave danger until a mysterious revolutionary named Erina rescues them and offers an enticing deal in exchange for their help.
