Street Fighter 6 is the most feature-rich, welcoming, and inclusive package ever crafted for a fighting game—a stylish reassertion of creative dominance for the series that started it all, and an endlessly rewarding new foundation for its future.
Street Fighter 6 is an exceedingly good fighting game. But more than that, it’s an excellent training tool. It’s a fulfilling adventure. It’s a lively community gathering place. It’s an endearingly idealistic and inspiring world of appreciation for martial arts and friendly competition, exceptionally executed in every respect.
This is mainly a multiplayer game.
The adventure mode is average and the only reason to play single player modes is to get better at the online game.
But the online game is fantastic. Rarely any issues, plenty of players to play and in ranked mode you generally only play equivalent skill players, so its usually a fairly level playing field.
Modern mode adds also an entry way into fighting for beginners.
I am 200 hours in and have only played a quarter of the characters. Yes the roster is not the biggest but each characters depth is insane.
Game of the year for me.

New game from the most impactful franchise in the history of fighting games, Street Fighter 6 accomplishes everything it sets out to do almost perfectly. The game shines for its diverse and accessible gameplay, stands out for its excellent art direction and soundtrack, and offers many possibilities in World Tour mode. The game's story is the only truly weak point of a title that was born as one of the best fighting games in history.
While Street Fighter 6 is bolder and more accessible than ever and packed with content. Although it’s single player open world-ish venture is a bit of a chore, meaty new elements and a great roster almost makes up for that. Flourishing and dazzling visuals with killer soundtrack also worth to mention. It’s a dream comes true for every fighting game fan.
A far better launch experience than its predecessor, with an excellent fighting system and a wide range of options and features that transcend the usual genre traditions.
On its continuing streak of great games, Capcom has brought one of their crown jewels back and reforged it into something altogether incredible - a proper return to marquee fighting game greatness for the franchise.
Street Fighter 6 in it's simplest form remains a fantastic, fun experience, retaining the same gameplay that has been tweaked and improved throughout the years to ensure it remains top of the pile. Jarring attempts to meet the needs of young players alongside a World Tour mode that fails to meet the hype placed upon it however, stop this from being an essential purchase. Stick to Arcade Mode and enjoy what made this franchise so great in the first place. A fantastic fighter is there, just buried under the fluff.
Great smooth graphics..... BUT
Really poor character choice with no charisma.
Really poor arcade mode and story mode.
Obviously too much effort was placed on the adventure mode and online mode but this is so much worse than SF5.
Thank godI didn't pay £100 for this.
No character unlocks too. WTH. All the charms of SF2 have gone, leaving this boring game with emphasis on 'camp' characters.
Hard for me to review this as I'm simply not great at these fighting games because unless you're a seasoned pro, I think you have to invest a lot of time to 'git gud,' although this game is quite accessible to newcomers and there are tonnes of tutorials and training options. Overall, it is a good laugh. I just prefer different types of games but that doesn't make this bad, per se. If you're into fighting games, this does seem good.
This game is awesome, but without battlehub and terrible world tour(story mode).
Why not putting in the game a story mode just like SFV?
There is a really interesting story for SF6. You guys can find it on the internet easily.
Why not using it?? There could be an awesome story mode if they would have used it.
The story is about KEN and JP. No need to go deep. Like I said it's on the internet. I can say this game is a really great game but world tour ****! ****! ****! unnecessary! preposterous! disgusting!
I cannot say the same for BattleHub but its pretty uneccessary for me!
The only and biggest pro is that unlike SFV, there is more for single, offline players to do and they don't seem to be trying to nickel and dime you (yet) to access a lot of the game. It's also nice to see SF finally adopt a "create your own fighter" after resisting it so long.
However and unfortunately, it seems like this whole game, and especially art, graphics, gameplay, and especially the new characters seem to be marketing and focus group driven towards kids, teens, and female gamers with the lame and eyerollingly corny trap rap cr*py trends in today's music industry and aesthetics; none of it appealing to adults or any of the long time veterans and players of the game.
Even worse is the introduction of straight up button mashing and spamming called "modern controls" in order to make it more easier and appealing to the younger and casual gamer. If you're going to be playing online, be prepared for people being very cheap.
The World Tour mode is a good idea and concept, but terrible execution. It's a boring and repetitive slog **** fest where all you do is do fetch quests while you beat up literally anyone and everyone: cops, hot dog stand vendors, grannies, tourists, anyone for money and XP in order to buy a change of clothes and that's it. It's just aimless and pointless and offers no real challenge or real and serious rewards.
I wouldn't honestly wait until the complete version or more DLC. The look, feel, and execution of this game is a letdown, but your kids will love it. It's made for them more than anything.
