There are errors and flaws that can be pointed. Thing is, no other game manages to awaken such a diverse stream of feelings in its length. It generates hate, pity and even manages to makes us reconsider what we recognise as the current world, in its unbarred race to armament and technology. This is, at the moment, the interactive digital entertainment high point, setting the bar for originality and overall quality.
To review such a game as Metal Gear Solid 4 is like commissioning a blind man to share his opinion on a beautiful oil painting painted by a true artist, it just wouldn’t work. The nature of Metal Gear Solid 4 lifts it above such conventional ways of judgement.

As the crowning achievement of the series' 20-year history, Hideo Kojima's final Metal Gear Solid title may not be what you expect, but it is everything you could hope for in a video game.
Hours of concentrated narrative abuse can't obscure or dilute the detailed game within.
Now, on the PS3, Metal Gear has regained some, not all, of its former glory. But weak, reused bosses, a broken online game and the gameplay to video ratio keep it from the lofty standards that Metal Gear Solid set up so many years ago.
Guns of the Patriots is a frustrating, fractured game that turns Metal Gear Solid's world upside down several times over, but never changes it.
You need check game out one the best game and lot action game and good music and story best and good day

Revisited this game in 2022. I bought it on day 1 but only played it these days. As an MGS fan I think a lot of its value comes from nostalgia. I appreciated that, but a person who is not that familiar may not enjoy it.
Storywise it was good, I enjoyed understanding BB history and the characters are fun. The story like some others MGS is about the future wars and soldiers. It will surely attract SiFi fans but others not so sure.
Like other MGS there are two ways to play MGS , the pro sneaking stealth way and the casual friendly just kill everything with your guns, Drebin make the casual gameplay more accessible.
I can say that I liked the game more before shadowmosses. Once I reached Shadowmoses it felt like the devs had to rush everything and it lost little of its fun.
I will rank it as my least favorite MGS game, MGS2 being the most favorite.

Still a must play, but has questionable mechanics such as turning into a fighting game for a boss fight, and far too excess in fan service.
Story wise, it tries to *finish* the franchise's story (even though KONAMI didn't want the game to end at the time) which ends up as a mashup of ideas and even more plot holes.
I give it 7 farts out of 10.

I wanted to buy Metal Gear Solid 4, but where was the videogame?
I tried to find it at a local retailer, but where was the videogame?
I tried at a big entertainment store, but where was the videogame?
I tried to find it on the internet, but where was the videogame?
I got a copy from a friend, put it in my PS3, watched 10 hours of unskippable cutscenes, and I asked, where was the videogame?

While I was thinking what to write here for this score, I saw what one of the critics wrote. One called 'Kikizo'. He gave 10/10, but I was totally agreeing with his(her) words: Yes the game settings IS ridiculous and it doesn't make any sense. The acting is also absurdly bad... But then I lost the guy: No this is not MGS I remember (I played only the first one). MSG1 had very clean and well defined game-play, and this one is a mess. The story did matter then, and it's blown out of proportion now. The cut-scenes are uninteresting and absurdly long. Overall I am very disappointed with this one. But I hear many people like it... And while it might be overrated for what it is, you also may easily fall in the other camp of fans, who will actually enjoy the game. I did not.
