Resident Evil 4 Remake not only does right by its original source of inspiration, but it also sets a high bar for what modern day remakes can be. All components of the story have been finetuned into a more well-thought out package, and that’s before mentioning the game’s full use of today’s graphical prowess to deliver a more terrifying interpretation of rural Spain. The core gameplay also retains what made it so great back in the day, but with modern amenities such as a parrying system, quick-select for weapons and the ability to run. And despite the new improvements, the increased aggressiveness of the enemies ensures that the game never feels like a cakewalk. I don’t know who still needs to be convinced at this point, but Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece that I cannot recommend enough.
The Resident Evil 4 remake is a remarkable achievement that walks the fine line between action and horror, appealing to both old and new fans of the series. Capcom has kept the original’s essence and expanded on it with beautiful and detailed environments, expanded gameplay, and deeper character development. While the absence of Mercenaries Mode and Ada’s storylines at launch is disappointing, the overall experience of the main game more than compensates for this. Resident Evil 4 remake is an exceptional example of how to reimagine a beloved classic properly, and it is undeniably a must-play for both horror and action fans alike.
Capcom has once again succeeded in recreating a masterpiece in a manner that faithfully captures the spirit of the original while also evoking new emotions that challenge expectations. This remake does far more than simply recreate the past; it is an excellent reinvention. Capcom has raised the bar for what is expected of a remake while simultaneously preserving an enviable legacy. Without a doubt, Resident Evil 4 remains the experience that defined genres and stands as one of the greatest games of all time.
In addition to improved graphics and smoother controls, a lot has really been added and changed to Resident Evil 4, from subtle extras to major, radical adjustments. The classic from 2005 has been modernized in such a way that it is actually more fun than most Resident Evil games and many, if not all contemporary survival horror games.
A very conservative, but also very successful remake of a genre classic that every horror game lover should experience. If you once missed this milestone, you don't have to look back, the new version perfectly represents it and in a modern guise awakens the same feelings as the original once did.
Capcom has delivered a great remake of a classic game, one that captures everything that made it so special to begin with. Resident Evil 4 Remake is full of action and variety that's as exhilarating now as it ever was.
It pays respect to its original while changing and adding certain plots that the original felt behind on while also keeping some of it goofy aspects of the **** truth it is what a remake should strife for.
As a whole it is not a bad game. Tons of effort went into it. Boss fights; I particularly liked on new takes on most of them. A couple of ones was harder than the original. Some were easier. Graphics, lightining was good with some pop-ups. I would rate 8.5 if I haven't played one of the most original and impressive game of its time, the original RE 4 however.
Problems: I think so many parts were removed. Some crucial parts. Some very good set pieces were completely removed or made easier. The island section was felt easier and rushed the most. Music was not impressive and couldnt sustain the mood. It was even more of action oriented game rather than a horror themed one. Even in hard-core you have ammo everywhere. It should have been more scarce in harder difficulties. The game did not make me feel like the original, the mystery, some horror elements, plus some important action set pieces were gone. Basically other than some boss fights it lacked soul. Did I enjoy despite that? Yes.
